The teams behind “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” are celebrating a new milestone this weekend. The game sold more than 2M copies worldwide in less than ten days according to the publisher, spread out across PS4, PC, and Xbox players. The game’s launch was driven by terrific reviews from both players and critics, and the game is still a best-seller on most retail outlets.

On launch day, “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” was the number-one viewed game on Twitch according to the company’s announcement this morning. With more than 631M minutes watched on Twitch during launch weekend, that number ballooned to 1.1B minutes watched on Twitch within one week. The game remains a popular destination on the video-streaming service, with players on every platform showing off their skills on the game’s more challenging modes.
If you’re new to the game, “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice” introduces players to a world filled with brutal enemies, intense sword combat, and engrossing vertical exploration. Fans of FromSoftware will find familiarity in the gritty gameplay, which can be very challenging if you select the harder difficulties.
