As you might expect, “Avengers: Endgame” tickets are selling out pretty quickly across the country. Ticket sales for the film broke Fandango’s first-day records back in April, and the new Avengers installment also set a new record for first seven-day presales this week.
Fandango reported this morning that in its first seven days of presales, “Avengers: Endgame” sold five times as many tickets as “Avengers: Infinity War” sold in the same timeframe. While many theaters sold out in just minutes, Fandango’s exhibition partners are continually posting new showtimes and adding new screenings on Fandango to meet the fan demand. If you weren’t able to get tickets on day-one, check to see if your local theater has added any new screenings online at Fandango or on the Fandango app. We should warn you, these screenings might be very late at night, or very early in the morning. The upside to that is breakfast pancakes after the show to discuss the movie.
Despite the sellouts, “Endgame” tickets are still available at theaters through opening weekend on Fandango, depending on where you live. “Avengers: Endgame” now holds the record for Fandango’s best first week and first day of presales, eclipsing “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Since Disney owns both franchises, it’s still a win for the studio. Fandango also stated that on Monday and Tuesday of this week, “Avengers: Endgame” was the top daily ticket-seller on Fandango, outselling every film currently in release, even though the film doesn’t open for another sixteen days.
“I wouldn’t be surprised to see a record amount of fans reporting sick to work or taking the day off on Friday, April 26 because they’ll be attending opening day screenings of ‘Avengers: Endgame,’” says Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis. “Even though ‘Endgame’ has sold out thousands of showtimes, there are still plenty of tickets still available on Fandango for the year’s most anticipated movie.”
Marvel will release “Avengers: Endgame” on April 26th.
