Still living the dream, Aerosmith launched their Las Vegas residency this week. Titled “Aerosmith: Deuces are Wild,” the show takes place at Park Theater at the new Park MGM resort, one of the most technically amazing venues in the country. Multiple outlets have reported a fantastic first-night showing from the legendary band, who played in front of a sold-out audience and offered fans a guided tour of Aerosmith’s stunning library. Park Theater is the first THX Certified live performance venue and fetures L-Acoustics L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound. The THX certification wasn’t an easy achievement, and the team brought on a wide-array of professionals to create a one-of-a-kind setting for the band’s first residency.

Opening night at ‘Deuces are Wild’ provided an intimate setting coupled with the band’s arena-style anthems, and the band reflected on over fifty-years of Aerosmith. The show includes a 90-minute live performance from the original Aerosmith band members (Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford, and Joey Kramer) and the show is supplemented with unreleased audio and never-before-seen visuals from Aerosmith’s archives. Part guided tour, autobiography, and concert event, the residency is already winning over fans and critics.

There’s a twelve screen media presentation in the act, produced by Oscar and Emmy-winning global visual effects studio Pixomondo. The visuals start almost immediately, with the Aerosmith winged-logo magically coming to life as the band hits the stage.

“We have spent the last year and a half bringing Aerosmith’s “Deuces are Wild” residency to life. The intent of the sound design, visuals, lighting and this entire experience is to be as authentically Aerosmith as the band and their fans expect while taking them both on a journey they never expected,” said show producer Steve Dixon of Fireplay.

Tickets are still available if you are planning a Vegas trip soon. Tickets start at $75, and the venue offers VIP packages. You can find all the info at ticketmaster.com/aerosmith. All shows are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Aerosmith teamed up with show director Amy Tinkham, show producer Steve Dixon, and Grammy Award-winning producer Giles Martin to create the unique experience.
