Final ‘Killing Eve Season 2’ Trailer has us Obsessed

Killing Eve + Season 2 + Slantedbbc america

There’s one last trailer to watch before the big premiere of “Killing Eve: Season 2,” and it’s going by the title: Obsession. The hit thriller series is returning to BBC America on April 7th and fans can watch the new video below to get excited for the premiere.

The new season will pick up right where the last season ended, in fact, just a few seconds after. Villanelle has disappeared and Eve is left reeling, having no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead. With both of them in deep trouble, Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does, but she’s not the only person looking for her.

Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer, and Fiona Shaw are reprising their roles for the new season, and Nina Sosanya (Good Omens) and Edward Bluemel (A Discovery of Witches) are joining the series in regular roles. Julian Barratt (Mindhorn), Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Indian Summers) and Shannon Tarbet (Genius) are set to guest star in the second season.

Season one of “Killing Eve” was a monumental success for the network, growing in viewers each week after the premiere. If you’re not a regular ratings-checker, we can assure you that very few shows in the history of television have pulled that off.

The show is based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings. If you haven’t set a reminder yet for the new episodes, “Killing Eve” season two premieres Sunday, April 7th at 8pm/7c on BBC America and AMC. Both networks are offering up the premiere, so there are multiple ways to watch this year.

The series is executive produced by Sally Woodward Gentle, Lee Morris, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Gina Mingacci and lead writer Emerald Fennell. Sandra Oh and Francesca Gardiner are co-executive producers, and Elinor Day serves as series producer. Damon Thomas returns to direct and is also executive producer, with Lisa Brühlmann and Francesca Gregorini also directing.

Killing Eve is produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd. for BBC AMERICA and was commissioned in 2016 by Sarah Barnett and Nena Rodrigue.
