The Perfect Date + Slantednetflix

Noah Centineo has a new project set to release on Netflix and it’s called “The Perfect Date.” Most fans of Centineo fell in love with the actor when he starred in Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before,” and they can swoon all over again in this new rom-com produced by Awesomeness Films and Ace Entertainment. The new movie is scheduled to hit Netflix on April 12th.

Netflix described the film adding, “To raise funds for college, Brooks Rattigan (Noah Centineo) creates a dating app where he’ll “stand in” for non-existent boyfriends. But playing a different character every night of the week leads him to question who he really is … and who he wants to be with.” Joining Noah Centineo (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, Sierra Burgess is a Loser, Charlie’s Angels) are Laura Marano (Lady Bird, Austin & Ally), Camila Mendes (Riverdale), Odiseas Georgiadis (Trinkets), and two-time Emmy nominee Matt Walsh (Veep).

Chris Nelson (My Dead Ex) directed the film, working from a screenplay by Steve Bloom and Randall Green. Matt Kaplan and John Tomko produced the film, with Jordan Levin, Brett Bouttier, Matthew Signer, Marc Beinstock, Robyn Marshall, Scott Levine, Don Dunn, Steve Bloom, and David Blackman serving as executive producers.

“Perfect Date” isn’t the first film from Awesomeness Films and Netflix, the duo partnered up on both “You Get Me” and “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before.”

Netflix announced back in December that Lana Condor and Noah Centineo will reunite for a sequel for “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” The original film was a massive hit for Netflix and was well received by viewers and critics. The YA romantic drama is based on the “To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy by New York Times Bestselling Author Jenny Han.

Awesomeness Films, Ace Entertainment, and Overbrook Entertainment will be producing the sequel, with Matt Kaplan, and Dougie Cash serving as Producers. Sofia Alvarez will write the screenplay for that film.
