Universal Pictures has set a digital release date for the animated hit “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.” The film will first release on Digital HD on May 7th, followed by the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on May 21st. The third installment to the popular franchise will be available just as the fall television schedule comes to a close, giving us something new to stream that isn’t summer reality shows.

You can order the digital version and have it on release-date right here on iTunes and Prime Video. If you would like the retail version, you can find them right here on Amazon.

Directed by Dean DeBlois, “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” did very well in theaters. The animated-adventure hit theaters back in February and made over $55M domestically on its opening weekend. The film then went on to make over $489M worldwide for the studio.

In the new installment, Hiccup and Toothless finally fulfill their destinies; Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) as the village chief and ruler of Berk alongside Astrid (America Ferrera), and Toothless as the dragon leader of his own kind. As the Vikings and dragons of Berk face their darkest threat yet, the evil Grimmel (F. Murray Abraham), and Toothless discovers his soulmate, Light Fury – the bonds of Hiccup and Toothless’ friendship are tested like never before.

The all-star voice cast includes Jay Baruchel (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, This Is the End), America Ferrera (“Superstore,” The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants), Cate Blanchett (The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Ocean’s Eight), Gerard Butler (300, The Bounty Hunter), F. Murray Abraham (Isle of Dogs, The Grand Budapest Hotel), Kit Harington (“Game of Thrones”), Craig Ferguson (Brave), Kristen Wiig (Despicable Me 3, Ghostbusters), Jonah Hill (The Lego Movie franchise, 21 Jump Street) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Trolls, This is the End).
