Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame” dropped a new trailer this week and it’s already leaving its mark on the record books. The highly anticipated film released a new full-length trailer on Thursday, and the video racked up over 268M views in its first 24 hours.

That’s not enough to take the top spot on the chart, that record still belongs to the first “Avengers: Endgame” teaser, which reached 289M views in its first 24 hours. The only other film to come close was “Avengers: Infinity War,” which had 230M views in the same time frame.

Disney is pretty good at setting YouTube records. The studio’s first “Frozen 2” trailer reached 116.4M views in its first 24 hours, the highest ever for an animated film.

Marvel expressed its gratitude with posts on the studio’s social media accounts telling followers, “Thank you to the greatest fans in the universe for making Marvel Studios #CaptainMarvel the #1 movie in the world two weeks in a row, and doing ‘whatever it takes’ to watch the #AvengersEndgame trailer 268 million times in 24 hours.”

Disney holds a unique advantage when it comes to trailer views, the studio’s films often span the PG to PG-13 demographic and are the highest-grossing franchises of all-time. It would be difficult for an R-rated thriller or a new action film to appeal to the same number of YouTube viewers around the world.

The latest video probably isn’t the final teaser that Marvel has planned for the film. There will most likely be a few “Avengers: Endgame” TV spots and shorter videos released over the next few weeks as we get closer to the premiere date. Another video will most likely be released when tickets go on pre-sale. “Avengers: Endgame” is scheduled to hit theaters on April 26th, if you want to add a view to the trailer you can watch it below.

Joe and Anthony Russo directed “Avengers: Endgame” for Marvel, the film features Winston Duke, Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Karen Gillan, Paul Rudd, Josh Brolin, Brie Larson, Bradley Cooper (Voice), Elizabeth Olsen, Evangeline Lilly, Letitia Wright, Chadwick Boseman, and Gwyneth Paltrow. That’s not even the entire list; there will probably be a few surprises to find when the film hits theaters next month.
