The new NETGEAR Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR300 WiFi Router is getting ready to start shipping, and you can grab one for just $199. While most network routers provide the same service, game-centered routers often focus their attention on reducing lag and chopping down ping rates. The gaming routers also make it easier for users to prioritize devices. Prioritizing comes in handy when you want your PC or game console to get top billing, just in case someone starts watching Netflix in 4K in another room.

The Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR300 WiFi Router made its big debut at SXSW this month and is the top of the line in Netflix’s latest offerings. While $199 might seem steep if you haven’t been in the market for a while, it’s a moderate price for a router with these features. I’m still rocking a NETGEAR Nighthawk on my home network, and while I’ve tested dozens of newer models, it’s still one of my favorites, and I haven’t made any complaints.

You can check out the Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR300 WiFi Router’s full specs and order one for yourself right here on Amazon.

The device gives you a personalized dashboard to monitor and prioritize all of the internet traffic on your network. The UI makes it easier to monitor each device in real-time, and you can set preferred servers in a snap.

It doesn’t matter which platfrom you prefer to game on; the router was designed to work well with PCs, Playstation models, Xbox models, and mobile devices. These are usually the heavy-hitters on a network, so devices like a few Alexas or guests’ mobile devices won’t be a problem at all for this Nighthawk.

The router should help you achieve the lowest ping possible in games where it counts. If you’ve struggled with ping rates in games like CS:GO, Overwatch, Fortnite, COD, or PUBG, this could be the solution you need.

On the back, you’ll find four 1-Gigabit Ethernet ports, because wired is the best way to play, but your wifi connection will still love the AC1750 dual-band router with speeds up to 1.75 Gbps.
