‘Overwatch’ adds Paris Map and Drops a Video
Say Bonjour to Paris in Overwatch
Blizzard’s “Overwatch” now has a new map, letting players zoom around Paris while taking the win. The new assault map is available after a small patch; the map launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One earlier this afternoon.
Once updated, players can explore the new map on their own or wait until it pops up in their daily rotations. There are plenty of narrow streets and blind corners to surprise or trap your opponents, and plenty of great views all alongside the Seine.
A few highlights of the map include the Cabaret Luna, home to musical talents of diva Luna; the Pâtisserie Galand, known for their delicate mille-feuille and colorful macarons; and the Maison Marat, a grand palace hosting a gala in the heart of the city.
You can also jump into the current season, which is still going on, or head over to the arcade to enjoy a game of CTF or Mystery Heroes.
“Overwatch” has still been going strong on all platforms, despite the launch of hits like “Fortnite” or the newly released “Apex Legends.”
Another exciting aspect of “Overwatch” is the Overwatch League, which kicked off the 2019 season this month. This year, 20 teams will compete for the league championship and a share of the $5M prize pool.
“We’ve added eight new teams and nearly 100 new players to the Overwatch League, and we’re really excited to see the influx of new talent and to see how teams approach the daunting task of winning the league championship,” said Nate Nanzer, Overwatch League commissioner to start this year’s event. “Look for the quality of play to rise as the league continues to get even more competitive. The talents of our extraordinary players are going to be on display for the world to see. Come watch with the best of us!”
