Sony Pictures has set a Digital release date for “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” as well as an official Blu-ray and DVD release date. The film will first release on Digital HD on February 26th, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD release on March 19th.

You can order the Digital version of the film on iTunes and Prime Video and have it ready for release day. If you would like the retail version of the film, you can find it right here on Amazon.

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse” did amazingly well in theaters, opening with a $35M weekend before grossing over $356M worldwide for Sony Pictures. Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey directed the animated-comedy for Sony; the film features the voice-talents of Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Lily Tomlin, and Zoe Kravitz.

The story introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one hero can wear the mask and protect the citizens of New York City.

Spider-Man fans will want to keep an eye on the Academy Awards this year because Spider-man is up for Best Animated Feature Film. Spider-Man is the crowd favorite going into the event but is competing against “Incredibles 2,” “Isle of Dogs,” “Mirai,” and “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse” has already won a wide array of awards this year, including Best Motion Picture – Animated from the Golden Globes; a BAFTA for Best Animated Feature Film; an AAFCA Award for Best Animated Feature; and seven Annie Awards.

Fans of the franchise can look forward to “Spider-Man: Far From Home” with Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zendaya, and Samuel L. Jackson this Summer. That film is set to hit theaters on July 5, 2019. Jon Watts directed that installment.
