A new “Five Feet Apart” trailer is out, teasing the YA drama before the film hits theaters on March 15th. This isn’t the first trailer that the studio has released for the film, but it does offer some new scenes and another look at the two stars: Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse.
In the film Stella Grant (Richardson) is seventeen-year-old, but unlike most teenagers, she spends much of her time living in a hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient. Her life is full of routines, boundaries, and self-control which is put to the test when she meets a charming fellow CF patient named Will Newman (Sprouse).
Fans probably know Haley Lu Richardson best from her roles in “The Edge of Seventeen,” “Split,” and “The Bronze,” while most fans remember Cole Sprouse from CW’s hit YA series “Riverdale.” The two stars each have their own followings, but the film is going against some heavy hitters in the Spring.
Directed by Justin Baldoni, “Five Feet Apart” was written by Mikki Daughtry and Tobias Iaconis.
If you are someone that like to read the original work before seeing the film, you can find the novel right here on Amazon.
The studio teased the film adding, “There’s an instant flirtation, though restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. As their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction. Further complicating matters is Will’s potentially dangerous rebellion against his ongoing medical treatment.”
As we mentioned earlier, “Five Feet Apart” is opening during a busy time at the box office. The film is opening against the animated-comedy “Wonder Park,” and opening just one-week after Marvel releases “Captain Marvel” nationwide. Five Feet Apart’s follow-up weekend is also busy, with “Hotel Mumbai,” “Sunset,” and the thriller “US,” hitting theaters nationwide.
