Shay Mitchell fans have been binging through Netflix’s “You” series over the past few weeks, but before the actor started the role of Peach Salinger, she had a starring role in Sony Pictures’ horror-thriller “The Possession of Hannah Grace.” The film will release on Digital on February 19th, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD versions on February 26th. Fans of the genre haven’t seen too many new releases over the last few months, but the new Digital release will give everyone something new to stream towards the end of winter.

You can find the Digital version right here on iTunes and Prime Video; the retail versions are available right here on Amazon.

Diederik Van Rooijen directed the horror-thriller; Shay Mitchell stars in the film alongside Grey Damon, Kirby Johnson, and Stana Katic.

“The Possession of Hannah Grace” hit theaters back in November, at a time when the box office was overstuffed with holiday hits. The thriller debuted in seventh-place overall, grossing $6.4M on opening weekend before making over $35.3M worldwide. The film was buried under the holiday schedule, which included “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch,” “Creed II,” “Fantastic Beasts 2,” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

The film follows an exorcism that spirals out of control, claiming the life of a young woman. Months later, Megan Reed (Shay Mitchell) is working the graveyard shift in the morgue when she takes delivery of a disfigured cadaver. Locked alone inside the basement corridors, Megan begins to experience horrifying visions and starts to suspect that the body may be possessed by a ruthless demonic force.

As we mentioned earlier, you can also find Shay Mitchell on Netflix’s “You,” which has quickly become a hit on the platform. That series also stars Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail, and Luca Padovan.
