Netflix has set the cast for the company’s next holiday movie “Let it Snow,” which will start filming over the next few months. The new project has quite a few big names, a few of them from other Netflix projects, and will be directed by Luke Snellin.

The cast includes Isabela Moner (Instant Family, Transformers: The Last Knight, Dora The Explorer), Shameik Moore (Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse, The Get Down, Dope, Cut Throat City), Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Mad Men), Odeya Rush (Dumplin, Lady Bird), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, Every Day), Miles Robbins (Halloween, Blockers, The Day Shall Come), Mitchell Hope (Descendants), Liv Hewson (Santa Clarita Diet, Before I Fall), Anna Akana (You Get Me) and Joan Cusack (Shameless, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Working Girl).

Netflix describes the movie adding “When a once-in-century snowstorm hits a small town on Christmas Eve, several high school seniors discover unexpected opportunities as well as complications that test their friendships, love lives, and aspirations for the future.”

The film is based on the book by YA bestsellers John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle.

BAFTA nominee Luke Snellin (Wanderlust, The A Word, My Mad Fat Diary, Bafta-nominated short Mixtape) will direct the film, and Victoria Strouse (Finding Dory) is the latest screenwriter on the project.

Netflix brought in some in-house talent for the project. Kiernan Shipka currently leads in Netflix’s “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Odeya Rush starred in “Dumplin.” We don’t have a premiere date yet for the holiday special, but more information will be released when the film enters into production later this Spring. Until then, you can watch the dozen or so holiday favorites that are already available on Netflix.
