Fans of the grumpy Grinch will be able to stream “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch” on Digital HD this month. Universal Pictures will release The Grinch on Digital HD and the Movies Anywhere app on January 22nd, followed by the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD versions of the film on February 5th.

You can pre-order the Digital version of the film on iTunes and Prime Video and have it ready for release day. You can also find the retail version of the film right here on Amazon.

The film is based on Dr. Seuss’ beloved tale and featured the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch, Rashida Jones, Pharrell Williams, Kenan Thompson, and Angela Lansbury. The adaptation did very well in theaters this holiday season, opening with a $65M debut back in November. The film then went on to make over $267M domestically and over $471M worldwide.

The new release will also offer three mini-movies: “Dog Days of Winter” starring the Grinch and his heroically loyal dog Max; and “Yellow is the New Black;” and “Santa’s Little Helpers,” both starring the lovable Minions.

Narrated by Grammy Award winner and Oscar nominee Pharrell Williams, “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch” stars Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange, “Sherlock”) as the infamous Grinch, who lives a solitary life inside a cave on Mt. Crumpit with only his loyal dog, Max, for company. Rashida Jones (“Parks and Recreation,” The Muppets) stars as Donna Who, Kenan Thompson (“Saturday Night Live”) as Bricklebaum, Cameron Seely (The Greatest Showman) as Cindy-Lou Who, and Angela Lansbury (Anastasia, Beauty and the Beast) voices the mayor of Whoville.

The holiday season may have just ended, but you can keep the spirit of goodwill going throughout the winter when the new release hits platforms later this month.
