Ariana Grande Cancels Show Due to Sickness
Grande needs some tea
Ariana Grande’s fans found some disappointing news when they logged into Instagram this week. The popular young singer has canceled her scheduled December 29th performance tonight at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas, citing bronchitis as the reason for the cancellation.
Grande posted a message on Instagram for her fans earlier this week, relaying the bad news. The show’s date made it a perfect holiday/New Year’s Eve celebration for guests, and some fans paid over $1,000 for a chance to see the pop star on stage. Not to worry though, tickets that were bought will be refunded. Ariana Grande has not confirmed a makeup show at this time.
The performance would have been Grande’s first scheduled live appearance on stage since the performer called off her engagement with SNL’s Pete Davidson back in October.
In the Instagram post, Grande told fans, “Vegas, I’m currently working through some health issues and am beyond sorry I won’t be able to see you this weekend.” Grande added, “I love you and so look forward to seeing you and making it up to you next year.”
In other New Year’s Eve news, Christina Aguilera will perform on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2019.” Aguilera last appeared on the show in 2007, and this year she will be joined by Bastille, Dan + Shay, and New Kids On The Block. The celebration will be Dan + Shay’s first appearance on the show, and Bastille’s second, while New Kids On The Block will take the stage for the second time. The group was on the show before, back in 2011, when they performed with the Backstreet Boys.
