AMC has started teasing the return of “The Walking Dead: Season 9,” releasing the official key art for the new season. The show will return for the mid-season premiere on February 10th and everyone can get a glimpse of Alpha.

The key art that was released today (above) gives fans a first look at Samantha Morton, who is playing the leader of the Whisperers named Alpha. The dangerous group often wears the skin of walkers, and are not to messed with.

The second half of “The Walking Dead: Season 9″ finds our groups of survivors, both old and new, continuing to deal with the impact of events that took place during the six years that have passed.

The network teased the upcoming season adding “Since the disappearance of Rick, many of these characters have become strangers to each other, and in some ways, strangers to themselves. What they do know is that they are in undeniable danger. They will soon realize the world just beyond does not operate as they thought.” The network added, “The group’s rules and ways of survival no longer guarantee their safety. A whole new threat has crossed their paths, and they soon discover it’s unlike any threat they have encountered or endured before.”

Fans of the show will want to set a reminder that the new episode will release on February 10, 2019 on AMC.
