‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Offers Fans a Season 2 Trailer

The big return of “Star Trek: Discovery” is just a few weeks away, and CBS All Access has released a new teaser trailer to get Trekkies excited for the winter premiere.

The video offers a quick preview of Season 2; the show is set to return on January 17th exclusively on CBS All Access in the United States. “Star Trek: Discovery” is produced by CBS Television Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment.

The network also confirmed that the new season will now have 14 episodes, up one from the previously announced 13 episode order.

In the announcement the network teased the new season stating, “After answering a distress signal from the U.S.S. Enterprise, season two of Star Trek: Discovery finds the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery joining forces with Captain Christopher Pike on a new mission to investigate seven mysterious red signals and the appearance of an unknown being called the Red Angel.” The network added, “While the crew must work together to unravel their meaning and origin, Michael Burnham is forced to face her past with the return of her estranged brother, Spock.”

Season two cast members include Sonequa Martin-Green (Commander Michael Burnham), Michelle Yeoh (Philippa Georgiou), Doug Jones (Commander Saru), Shazad Latif (Ash Tyler), Anson Mount (Captain Christopher Pike), Anthony Rapp (Lt. Commander Paul Stamets), Mary Wiseman (Ensign Sylvia Tilly), Wilson Cruz (Dr. Hugh Culber), Mary Chieffo (L’Rell), and Ethan Peck (Spock).

Fans of the series can watch the big Season 2 trailer below.

One of the significant focuses this season is Ethan Peck’s Spock character, previewed in the trailer. We will just have to wait and see how the story plays out this January.
