Your New Year’s Eve plans can now include a special screening of Taylor Swift. The pop superstar announced today on social media that she will be “gifting the world front row seats to the last show of the U.S. leg” of her “Reputation” tour. Swift also took the time to thank her fans for the birthday wishes, the performer turned 29 on December 13th. If you’re avoiding the cold and staying in this New Year’s Eve, set a reminder to watch the special on Netflix.
On Instagram Swift told fans “You made this tour so insanely fun for all of us on stage, and I’m really excited that we will have this memento of the memories we all made together this year.”
Swift also thanked a few of the acts that joined her on stage this past year, including Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX. The announcement also came with a special video, fans can watch that trailer below.
Swift will be busy these next few months. The singer is moving from the stage to the screen for the new adaptation of the musical “Cats”. The new film is through Universal Pictures and will be a film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s beloved musical, and the poems from “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats,” by T.S. Eliot.
Directing “Cats” is the Oscar-winning director Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech, Les Misérables, The Danish Girl), working with casting director Lucy Bevan.
“Cats” will be produced by Working Title Films in association with Monumental Pictures and The Really Useful Group and executive produced by three-time Oscar winner Steven Spielberg, Lloyd Webber and Angela Morrison. Hooper and Lee Hall (Billy Elliott, War Horse) have adapted the story for the screen.
