A new series is coming to Netflix from the producers of “Stranger Things” and the director of “The End of the F****** World” called “I Am Not Okay With This”. Netflix also confirmed that Christy Hall will co-create the series, but the company stopped short of giving us a premiere date.

From Jonathan Entwistle, the new series is based on the Charles Forsman graphic novel. The series will be a coming of age story about a teenage girl navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all the while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and her mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken from deep within her. That’s right, the show adds a little superpowers into the mix.

Netflix has already ordered 8 episodes of the new show for the first season. Jonathan Entwistle is serving as co-creator, Director, and Executive Producer, while Christy Hall serves as the other co-creator, the writer, and another executive producer. The company also confirmed that Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Dan Cohen will also be Executive Producers, and Josh Barry will produce for 21 Laps.

We will have to wait a few more weeks before we get any casting information and Netflix will most likely tease the premiere date with a few videos as the show gets closer to launching.

Earlier this week Netflix also announced the new series “Secret Obsession” with Brenda Song (The Social Network, Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Mike Vogel (The Brave, What’s Your Number), and Dennis Haysbert (The Dark Tower, Kodachrome). That project’s story focuses on a woman who suffered a brutal attack that leaves her with amnesia, but when her memories start coming back, she realizes she no longer knows who to trust. “Secret Obsession” will be directed by Peter Sullivan (Jingle Belle, Wrapped up in Christmas, The Wrong Cruise), with Kraig Wenman and Peter Sullivan serving as screenwriters.
