Count up the tally marks because Victor Zsasz is expected to be in the new “Birds of Prey” movie with Margot Robbie. The movie now boasts an impressive lineup of DC characters, including Harley Quinn, Huntress, Black Canary, Black Mask, and now Victor Zsasz.
According to multiple outlets, Chris Messina will be working alongside Ewan McGregor on the villain team for the upcoming DC project. McGregor is expected to play Black Mask, with Messina playing the serial-killer Victor Zsasz. The Zsasz character is best known in Gotham for his killing sprees, and the tally marks that he puts on his body after each kill. Zsasz is a classic Batman villain, and he’s been in a few of the Arkham games and had a small scene in the film “Batman Begins”. In that film the character was played by Tim Booth, in the popular “Batman: Arkham Asylum” game the role was voiced by Danny Jacobs.
The movie itself made headlines for its incredibly long title, which is “Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn”. The film is being directed by Cathy Yan and is based on the “Birds of Prey” comics from Chuck Dixon and Jordan B. Gorfinkel.
As for the cast, Margot Robbie is reprising her “Suicide Squad” role as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be playing Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell will play Black Canary, and as we said earlier, Ewan McGregor is set to play Black Mask.
