Netflix released one of the last trailers for “A Series of Unfortunate Events” on Monday afternoon, teasing the closing chapters of the series. This will be the third and final season of the adaptation, so Netflix has a lot of loose ends to tie up to give fans a dynamite ending.
The final chapter will answer the questions that Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes), and Sunny (Presley Smith) have been seeking since the start. The trio have been searching for answers about their parents death and the mystery of the secret organization V.F.D., along with a few other clues that they have found along the way.
Season three is adding a few characters to help close things down, Allison Williams will be playing Kit Snicket and Max Greenfield is joining the cast. Viewers should also meet Lemony Snicket, the narrator of this terrible tale of hardship and orphans.
The official trailer description reads “Despite imploring with you that you look away, you are still here two seasons later, viewing A Series of Unfortunate Events. So with the third and final season drawing near, we have nothing left to say, dear viewer, but that we have saved the worst for last.”
Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), the third and final season of the Peabody award-winning Netflix original premieres worldwide January 1, 2019.
