Dan Fogelman’s “Life Itself” is now available to stream on Amazon Prime. The video service is offering the film as a Prime Original, and it stars Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Mandy Patinkin, Olivia Cooke, and Laia Costa. The film also features Annette Bening and Antonio Banderas.
Produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and Aaron Ryder, the film was directed by the creator of NBC’s hit drama “This is Us.”

The story follows a young New York couple as they grow from a college romance to getting married and having their first child. Along the way, they experience that the unexpected twists of their journey create reverberations that echo over continents and through lifetimes.
Director and writer Dan Fogelman (“This Is Us”) examines the perils and rewards of everyday life in a multigenerational saga. Set in New York City and Carmona, Spain, the studio states that “Life Itself “celebrates the human condition and all of its complications with humor, poignancy, and love.”
The film saw a limited release in theaters when it debuted back in September. “Life Itself” opened across 2,609 locations and made over $2M. The film went on to make over $4M domestically and over $4.6M worldwide.
Oscar Isaac fans will see him on the big screen in the next Star Wars installment, “Star Wars Episode IX.” That film is expected to release in 2019, but we don’t have a title yet. The new Star Wars installment will be directed by J.J. Abrams and will also feature Billie Lourd, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Kelly Marie Tran, and Matt Smith.
