EA’s “Star Wars Battlefront II” is still releasing new content for players all across the galaxy, this time adding a new map and several heroes to the mix. The latest trailer for the game showcases Obi-Wan Kenobi and the battle of Geonosis, and the new content is scheduled to become available on November 28th. The releases date is still a few days away, so you have time to download the game and setup those loadouts.
If you need a reminder, Geonosis is a pretty important planet in Star Wars history. In the early years of the Empire the planet was a staging ground for the construction of the Death Star, at least before the planet was cleansed to hide the construction. The location was also the first place that the Republic’s Clone Army and the Separatists’ Droid Army fought, which was the start of the Clone Wars. The location was also made popular in “Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones” featuring one of the largest battles with multiple Jedi.
“Star Wars Battlefront II” will also be releasing the infamous Count Dooku in January and Anakin Skywalker a month after that. If you didn’t see the trailer yet, you can catch that video below. The publisher teased the new content adding, “The Clone Wars have begun. Jedi hero Obi-Wan Kenobi and the new map Geonosis arrive in the latest update – free for all Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II players and available from November 28. Unlock the 212th Attack Battalion clone trooper appearances, more General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi appearances, drive the new STAP and BARC speeder, and dominate the battle with the AT-TE walker.”
If you aren’t going back to the game but crave Star Wars content, the wonderful ‘Star Wars: The Digital Collection’ is on sale for $99 right here on Amazon Prime. You can spend the wintry months with all six original films in glorious HD.
