If you’re a fan of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” then you should be happy to hear that you have two more seasons coming your way. Ahead of the show’s Season 6 debut, which is set to air in Summer 2019, ABC has confirmed that Season 7 has already been ordered.

The Season 7 order was confirmed today by Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment. The long-running series stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Jeff Ward. The show was co-created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen, who also serve as executive producers along with Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb.

The show’s renewal should be a sigh of relief from Marvel fans, who have recently lost the shows “Marvel’s Iron Fist” and “Marvel’s Luke Cage” on Netflix. There’s still plenty of Marvel content on television though. Marvel viewers have “Cloak & Dagger” on Freeform; “Marvel’s The Runaways” on Hulu; “Marvel’s Jessica Jones,” “Daredevil,” and “The Punisher” on Netflix; “The Gifted” and “Legion” on FOX and FX respectively; and “Marvel’s New Warriors” still on the way.

The next big movie release will be “Captain Marvel,” directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Starring in the film are Brie Larson in titular role, Mckenna Grace, Gemma Chan, Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Clark Gregg. Fans of the MCU do have a bit of a wait still to go before the film hits theaters. Marvel is set to release “Captain Marvel” in theaters on March 8, 2019.

If the film wants to take the top-spot on the opening list in March, it will have to do better than Disney’s own “Beauty and the Beast,” which made over $174M on opening weekend. The highest-grossing superhero movie that month has been “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” which is currently ranked second-overall in the category after making over $166M on opening weekend.
