‘Overwatch’ Free Trial Begins Next Week
Jump into Overwatch for free
If you haven’t jumped into the pop-culture hit “Overwatch” yet, you can do so next week with a free trial. Blizzard announced that the game will be celebrating another milestone with a free week of play, starting on November 20th. The surge in players will be a boon to the Overwatch players already in the game, and everyone can find their new favorite hero without spending any money.
The special event will run from November 20th through November 27th. Overwatch’s full roster of 29 heroes will be playable, including the newly announced Deadlock Gang outlaw, Ashe and her lovable robot bodyguard.
Players can explore 26 maps in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade, this will allow new players to experience everything Overwatch has to offer. Free Trial players will also be able to level up, earn Loot Boxes, unlock a variety of different customization options for their heroes, and keep any progress made during the trial—as long as the game is purchased on the same Blizzard or console account.
Overwatch can also be pre-downloaded on console platform stores starting today for those who want to get ready ahead of the November Free Trial.
While the free trial is nice, it’s hard to imagine that anyone who was already interested in the game hasn’t bought it yet. Younger games or new console owners will surely want to jump into the action, but at $44 on Amazon for the fancy editions, you can just grab the title and start collecting those loot boxes.
Blizzard recently released a new video showcasing the latest patch that brought Ashe into the game from the PTR server. The patch also made adjustments to Mercy, Roadhog, Reaper, and Symmetra. If you play any of those characters, you will want to watch the short video below to be brought up to speed on the new changes.
