In celebration of Halloween, Sony has released a trailer for the upcoming remake of “MediEvil” for the Playstation 4. In a special post on the Playstation Blog, Sony shared the video adding, “Sir Daniel Fortesque first shook off his premature burial 20 years ago and has had a dedicated fan base ever since. We believe those of you who come to this title anew will find the bones of the story remain strong.” The first installment was released for the original Playstation and a sequel for the game was released on the same platform. HD remakes are always popular, one of the latest is “Spyro” which just launched on several platforms this week, as well as classics like “Crash Bandicoot”. On the horizon, the long awaited remake of “Beyond Good and Evil 2” is on the schedule from Ubisoft, but we are still waiting on an official release date for that title.
The new trailer shows of the improved graphics of “MediEvil,” teasing new and longtime fans of the franchise with the HD upgrades. If you are new to the franchise “MediEvil” follows the story of Sir Dan, an unlikely champion who met an unfortunate end on the field of battle. Sir Dan doesn’t go down easy and he receives a chance at redemption when his nemesis, the evil sorcerer Lord Zarok, accidentally resurrects him 100 years after that fateful day. Lord Zarok seeks to conquer the Kingdom of Gallowmere, and only the skeletal Sir Dan stands between Zarok’s army of the undead and the kingdom he swore to protect.
