Netflix has renewed two popular animated-comedies this week, the video-streaming service confirmed renewals for “Paradise PD” and ‘BoJack Horseman,” and both shows will be coming back with all-new episodes for fans. Netflix has been on a cancellation warpath these past few weeks, cutting down “Marvel’s Luke Cage,” “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” “American Vandal,” and “Orange is the new Black”.

“Paradise PD” was renewed for a second season, the show comes from the creators of Brickleberry (Roger Black, Waco O’Guin) and the story follows a Southern-fried, small-town police department where everyone is terrible at their jobs. Season 1 hit Netflix back in August of this year, the show is produced by Bento Box Entertainment for Netflix.

“Bojack Horseman” is certainly the more popular of the two series and will be returning for a sixth season. In the show Will Arnett voices BoJack, the failed legendary 90’s sitcom star from the favorite family sitcom “Horsin’ Around,” who has been trying to find his way through a muddle of self-loathing, whisky and failed relationships. Now, in the presence of his human sidekick Todd (Aaron Paul) and his feline agent and ex-paramour Princess Carolyn (Amy Sedaris), BoJack is primed for his comeback but will mostly likely sabotage himself once again.

The series was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg and is Executive Produced by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright. Will Arnett (The Millers, Arrested Development) and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) also serve as Executive Producers. BoJack was designed by graphic artist Lisa Hanawalt and is animated by LA-based ShadowMachine. The show is a Tornante Production, brought to life by Michael Eisner’s The Tornante Company. It didn’t take long for Netflix to renew BoJack this year, “BoJack Horseman: Season 5” just premiered on Netflix on September 14, 2018.

Netflix stopped short of announcing premiere dates for the shows and their returning seasons, but more information and teasers will be released over the next few months.
