A little magic for everyone
20th Century FOX released the official trailer for “The Kid Who Would Be King,” an epic-fantasy set to release in the new year. In the film, Alex (Ashbourne Serkis) thinks he’s just another nobody, until he stumbles upon the mythical Sword in the Stone, Excalibur. Now, he must unite his friends and enemies into a band of knights and, together with the legendary wizard Merlin (Stewart), take on the wicked enchantress Morgana (Ferguson). The studio teases the story adding, “With the future at stake, Alex must become the great leader he never dreamed he could be.”
The film itself was written and directed by Joe Cornish and Produced by Nira Park, Tim Bevan, and Eric Fellner. Starring alongside Louis Ashbourne Serkis, are Dean Chaumoo, Tom Taylor, Rhianna Dorris, Angus Imrie, Rebecca Ferguson and Patrick Stewart. Fantasy fans can watch the official trailer below, thanks to a quick upload from the studio to YouTube.
