When you need a pick up with a pug
Twentieth Century Fox has set a Digital release date for the feel-good comedy “Dog Days” with Vanessa Hudgens and Eva Longoria. The film will first release on Digital HD on November 6th, followed by a DVD release on November 20th. Sometimes you need a movie that can turn a terrible day into a great one and this movie has adorable pets to help you out.
The film was directed by Ken Marino and the story picks up when a barista (Vanessa Hudgens) finds a stray Chihuahua. She wuickly learns that a love struck customer (Jon Bass) heads a rescue agency. Meanwhile, a widower’s pug changes life for its adoptive parents, pups help a newscaster cope with her co-host, and a slacker musician reluctantly pet-sits his sister’s scruffy Labradoodle.
“Dog Days” had a lot of competition at the box office and opened across 2,442 locations back in August. Vanessa Hudgens recently wrapped filming “Second Act,” an upcoming romantic-comedy starring Milo Ventimiglia, Hudgens, and Jennifer Lopez. That project was directed by Peter Segal, working from a script written by Justin Zackham and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. “Second Act” is scheduled to hit theaters on December 14, 2018 against “Mortal Engines,” “The Mule,” and the animated-comedy “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse”.
