“Boss Baby” was a surprise blockbuster when it launched in theaters back in 2017, the film opened at number-one with a $50M weekend before going on to make over $175M domestically. The film was even a hit overseas, with foreign markets pushing the animated-comedy past the $527M mark at the global box office. Thanks to a deal between DreamWorks Animation and Netflix, “The Boss Baby: Back in Business” is coming to the platform and Netflix has a trailer to share with #TeamBaby fans.

In the new story the Boss Baby, with the help of his big brother and partner-in-crime Tim, navigates the cutthroat corporate world of Baby Corp. The tiny boss has to learn the ropes while trying to achieve the near-impossible: the work-life balance of a modern career baby. The Netflix event comes from Emmy-winning executive producer Brandon Sawyer (Penguins of Madagascar) and the series will be available to Netflix members on October 12th.

Netflix teases the series adding, “In the battle of who deserves the most love, babies have a new nemesis: old people”. Boss Baby fans can watch the official trailer below, the new film should be a perfect addition for parents looking to entertain kids this month, without dipping into the regular spooky Halloween delights.

The original hit was directed by Tom McGrath and featured the voice-talents of Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, and Lisa Kudrow. The film also featured famed composer Hans Zimmer.

DreamWorks Animation is also behind the “She-Ra” reboot coming to Netflix. That series is a modern take on the ‘80s icon that originally debuted in 1985. “She-Ra” will be headed to NYCC this year, The DreamWorks She-Ra and the Princesses of Power panel will be held on October 4th at 3pm at the Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center. Fans will jump into the story of an orphan named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the mythical warrior princess She-Ra. Join executive producer Noelle Stevenson (Nimona, Lumberjanes), Aimee Carrero (voice of Adora/She-Ra), Karen Fukuhara (voice of Glimmer) and more as they offer a first look at the highly-anticipated series.
