‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ Trailer Swings Into Action
Another look at the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man is already ruling the Playstation 4 with his latest release but a new animated-comedy is hoping to take over the box office this winter. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” is scheduled to release this winter and Sony Pictures has new trailer to get Spidey fans excited for the premiere. Meanwhile, “Marvel’s Spider-Man” is still one of the best-selling PS4 games on Amazon.
The new trailer was released just as Spider-Man’s iconic villain, Venom, hosted his own premiere for the “Venom” movie releasing this weekend. The new Spider-Man installment will hit theaters on December 14th.
Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, the film will feature the voice-talents of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, and Lily Tomlin.
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one hero can wear the mask and protect the citizens of New York City. Fans of the iconic hero can watch the official trailer below.
Sony Pictures will debut “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” against Universal Pictures’ sci-fi epic “Mortal Engines”. It will be interesting to see how the animated-adventures of Spider-Man stack up against the live-action version of the hero at the box-office. Sony’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” debuted in 2017 with a $117M weekend before going on to make over $334M domestically. The film, which was Sony’s first Spider-Man installment since lending the iconic hero to Marvel for “Captain America: Civil War,” made over $880M worldwide.
If you do prefer the live-action version of Spider-Man, Sony is still planning on making two more films following the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” story line; but we will have to wait a few more weeks before the casting of those films are finalized.
