‘Marvel’s The Runaways’ Teases Season 2 with a Trailer

The Runaways are coming to New York Comic-Con in just a few days but Hulu is teasing the show’s second season a little early. The popular Marvel series is scheduled to return to Hulu in December and fans can get a first-look at the upcoming episodes in the trailer below. On YouTube Hulu teased the video adding, “We can fix the world they broke,” while also reminding fans that the show will come back on December 21st.

Based on the popular comic book series, the show comes from the team behind The O.C. and Gossip Girl, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Schwartz and Savage serve as Co-Showrunners/writers and serve as executive producers on the series along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory. Cast favorites like Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta, Annie Wersching, Ryan Sands, Angel Parker, Ever Carradine, James Marsters, Kevin Weisman, Brigid Brannagh, James Yaegashi, Brittany Ishibashi, Kip Pardue, and Julian McMahon are set to return.

If you’re new to the series there is still plenty of time to catch up on season one on Hulu. Marvel’s Runaways is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. The show is based on the popular comic books and explores the younger side of the Marvel Universe in a coming of age, action series.

Running from their parents, the Runaways are out of their homes and living on their own in the new season. The group has to struggle to find food and shelter as they band together to survive. The Runaways are taking on The Pride, or at least trying to, but Jonah is getting mysterious messages that could indicate that someone in the group is a traitor.

A we mentioned earlier, “Marvel’s Runaways” will be hitting Madison Square Garden for the very first time to celebrate NYCC. There will be an action-packed panel, a Q&A session, and never-before-seen-footage. Fans can join Jeph Loeb, Head of Marvel Television, along with the cast and executive producer, as they let you in on what’s to come for the highly-anticipated second season.
