Comedian Billy Eichner is partnering up with Funny Or Die’s “Glam Up The Midterms” this year. Eichner, together with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), will travel to Detroit, Michigan, for a live comedy event two days before Michigan’s voter registration deadline. Billy, along with some special guests, will seek to lighten the mood and energize the crowd to vote in the 2018 midterm elections. We all could use some mood altering support this election cycle and the event is a great way to get more people registered to vote.

“I am beyond excited to come to Detroit to help energize young voters and have some fun along the way. I’ll be bringing some special guests with me for this one time only event. I can’t wait to see everyone live in Detroit on the 7th!” said Billy Eichner.

The live show will take place on Sunday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. in Midtown Detroit. Michigan residents can enter for a chance to win tickets by signing up for election reminders and/or registering to vote by October 4 at headcount.org/VoteMichigan. Ticket winners will be notified via email no later than October 5th.

“The midterm elections give Michigan residents the power to decide what they want for their community and their future,” said Rhea Suh, President of the Natural Resources Defense Council. “Registering to vote has never been easier, more important or—thanks to this campaign—more fun. Make your sure your voice is heard and vote on November 6.”

Earlier this week, Billy, Funny Or Die, and NRDC kicked off their partnership, releasing a new video, “Non-Voters Anonymous,” starring Eichner, Mandy Moore, Randall Park, Kumail Nanjiani, and Darren Criss— dispelling commonly used excuses by nonvoters.

“Glam Up The Midterms” is a non-partisan campaign to encourage and energize young people to vote during the November 2018 midterm elections. You can learn more about ‘Glam Up The Midterms’ at GlamUpTheMidterms.com. The event’s voter registration and election information is powered by HeadCount.org.
