The CW has another massive super hero schedule in the works and it’s all coming together this October. The network released a first-look video of the comic-book themed mega-event, where the DC world unites on the CW to fight their enemies and save their cities.
You’ll find a lot of DC icons in the video below, including “Arrow,” “Supergirl,” “Black Lightning,” “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” and “The Flash”. Fans will get a quick preview of the Flash’s new threads, which got an update for the new season.
If you need to set a reminder, you can catch the “Arrowverse” crossover event starting with “The Flash” Season 5 premiere on October 9th. The CW will follow that up with the Season 2 premiere of “Black Lightning” on the same day. Then on Sunday, fans can fly high with “Supergirl” on her new night and time, then catch “Arrow” on Monday October 15th. The “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” Season 4 premiere event will wrap up the big week of shows on Monday October 22.
DC fans still have “Aquaman” to look forward to this winter. Warner Bros. Pictures will release that installment to the growing DC Universe on December 21, 2018. The film was directed by James Wan and stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, and Nicole Kidman.
Speaking of the DC Universe, the new DC streaming service launch date was also announced this week and The CW’s lineup of shows are sure to be big talking points on the various programs. The streaming service will offer everything from wrap-up talk shows, original series like “Titans,” and exclusive content for fans. The service is kicking off on Batman Day in September and you can find more information on the content being offered here.
