There's no escaping your fate

The sophomore season of “Big Mouth” is just around the corner and Netflix has started teasing the new episodes. The video-streaming service released a new teaser trailer this morning called “Attack of the Hormone Monsters” and fans of the animated series can watch that video below.

If you’re new to the show, “Big Mouth” is a half-hour adult animated-comedy from real-life best friends Nick Kroll (Kroll Show, The League) and Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy). The show details the glorious nightmare that is teenaged puberty and all of the wonderful and truly awful moments that puberty comes with. Comedian John Mulaney (John Mulaney: The Comeback Kid, Saturday Night Live) lends his voice to the character of Andrew, while Kroll (who serves as co-creator, executive producer) voices many including best friend Nick. Maya Rudolph (Maya & Marty, Bridesmaids), Jason Mantzoukas (The League, Lady Dynamite), Jordan Peele (Keanu, Key and Peele), Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Documentary Now!), Jenny Slate (Girls, Lady Dynamite) and Jessi Klein (Inside Amy Schumer) are among those who lend their voice to the series.

The show is often hilarious and often times hard to watch, mostly because the events in the series hit very close to home. Laughter brings closure, so I recommend putting all of those anxious teenage memories to bed with a little comedy. Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg and screenwriter-directors Mark Levin & Jennifer Flackett are all creators and executive producers on the series. Big Mouth is a Netflix production.

If you want to set a reminder to watch the new season, “Big Mouth: Season 2” will hit Netflix on October 5th.

As we reported earlier this week, Netflix recently signed a multi-year overall deal with animation creator Alex Hirsch, expanding the company’s animation slate. Under the terms of the deal, Hirsch will exclusively develop new series and features for Netflix. Hirsch is the creator of the Annie and BAFTA award-winning series, Gravity Falls
