Tiffany Haddish fans will want to keep their Netflix subscription through 2019, we know know the popular actor and comedian is hosting her own comedy special on the video-streaming service.

Netflix confirmed this week that Tiffany Haddish will be hosting an original hour-long stand up comedy special on Netflix in the new year. Haddish will tape the special in early 2019 and it will premiere globally later in the year.

Haddish, whose breakthrough performance in last year’s smash hit Girls’ Trip earned her wide acclaim, can currently be seen opposite Tracy Morgan on “The Last O.G.”, and will soon star in “Night School,” “The Oath,” and “Nobody’s Fool”. She will also voice the character Tuca in the upcoming Netflix adult animated series Tuca & Bertie.

“Tiffany Haddish is a force,” said Lisa Nishimura, VP of Original Documentary and Comedy. “Hilariously funny, brash and self-effacing, she’s an incredible artist who is winning over audiences while breaking barriers, and we are tremendously proud that she will showcase her formidable talent on Netflix.”

We don’t have a premiere date at this time but more information is expected to be release once the special is tapped.

As we mentioned earlier, Haddish is set to star in a number of upcoming films. “Night School” is a comedy from director Malcolm D. Lee, which also stars Kevin Hart and Keith David. That project is set to release in theaters on September 28, 2018. “The Oath” is a comedy thriller from writer and director Ike Barinholtz, that film also stars Billy Magnussen and Ike Barinholtz. That film has an October release date. “Nobody’s Fool” has a November release date, that film comes from writer and director Tyler Perry. The comedy will also star Missi Pyle, Omari Hardwick, and Tika Sumpter.

That’s three months of Tiffany Haddish to hold fans over until the new year, which should be plenty of content to keep everyone streaming right up until New Years.
