Gather up your squad, the “Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Blackout Beta” now has a release date. Activision and Treyarch confirmed the dates on Twitter this afternoon, the Blackout battle royale map will host the open beta test starting on September 14th. This comes a few days after the PS4 beta, which is scheduled to start on September 10th.
If you pre-order the game on PC, you can start playing the beta when it launches on September 14th but anyone that has a Battle.net account will be able to join the beta the following day on September 15th. If you are playing on an Xbox One, you can jump into the open beta on September 14th.
Battle Royal has become a popular multiplayer mechanic since “PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds” and “Fortnite” took over the streaming universe. This will be the first “Call of Duty” title to host a Battle Royal mode, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. The “Call of Duty” rival, “Battlefield V,” is also hosting an open beta in September, fans of that franchise can jump into the open beta on September 4th.
Activision made the confirmation on Twitter, telling followers, “Mark your calendars: The Blackout PC beta goes live September 14th at 10am PT for those that have pre-purchased any digital version of the game. The Blackout PC Open Beta is available to anyone with a Battle.net account starting 10am PT on September 15th”.

Players will be able to take on the wide-array of multiplayer modes this fall, along with the ever popular Zombie modes that have become a fan favorite over the years.
