Killing Eve hits Europe with an extended cast
BBC America’s “Killing Eve” series was the runaway hit of last season. The show managed to increase viewership with the release of each episode and fans should be pretty excited to see Season 2 after the events of last season’s finale. The series is scheduled to return to the network in Spring 2019 and the network announced three new additions to the cast this week.
The casting confirmations announced this month are Nina Sosanya (Good Omens) and Edward Bluemel (A Discovery of Witches), they will join series stars Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy), Jodie Comer (The White Princess) and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter). BBC America also confirmed that Julian Barratt (Mindhorn) will guest star in the upcoming season. The series, produced by Sid Gentle Films Ltd and based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, is currently shooting in Europe.
As we mentioned earlier, “Killing Eve” capped its first season with an unbroken record of weekly ratings growth in the key adults 25-54 and 18-49 demos. That’s something that no other show on television has accomplished in more than a decade. We will have to wait a little longer to get a teaser trailer for the upcoming season but filming is underway. We might get an announcement from the network regarding other guest stars over the next few weeks but u ntil then we are stuck waiting for Season 2.
