Busy Philipps’ new show ‘Busy Tonight’ Premieres in October
Finally bringing Busy back to TV
E! is expanding its television pop culture dominance with a new late night talk show called “Busy Tonight,” hosted and executive produced by actress and social media star Busy Philipps. The series got a premiere date this week and fans will get the first episode just before Halloween.
“Busy Tonight” is set to premiere on October 28th at 10pm ET/PT on the network. The half hour talk show will air every Sunday through Wednesday on E! and will feature Busy Philipps giving her hilarious and outspoken opinions on the latest pop culture stories and trending topics with celebrity guest interviews and original comedic segments. The network has also tapped former Co-Executive Producer of Bravo Media’s “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Caissie St.Onge, to serve as showrunner.
Longtime writer and producer, Caissie St.Onge, joins “Busy Tonight” after nine years with “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” and has previously worked on popular, Emmy-winning talk shows such as “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
“Busy’s singular point of view which is beloved by so many on her Instagram stories will be on full display in ‘Busy Tonight’,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis EVP, Development and Production at E!. “Her hilarious commentary sits on the intersection of pop culture and everyday life…She’s a gifted actress, a mother, a wife, and best friend, and her willingness to give our audience an insider’s view to her life as a celebrity tastemaker and working mom is exactly what the young female E! audience craves.”
“Busy Tonight” is produced by Little Stranger Inc and Wilshire Studios with Executive Producers Busy Philipps, Julie Darmody, Eric Gurian, and Caissie St.Onge.
