Always weird, always creepy
FX released the first teaser trailer for “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” this week and it’s a weird one. The next season in the long running anthology series will be Season 8 and its coming to FX later this fall. Fans of the franchise can watch the first teaser below, thanks to an upload from the network.
Longtime viewers can expect to see Taissa Farmiga, Billie Lourd, Emma Roberts, and fan-favorite Jessica Lange in the new season, the show is bringing back some characters as the story starts to fold-in previous plot points. Ryan Murphy confirmed on Twitter that Cody Fern will be playing the role of Michael Langdon in the upcoming season, and the show is still getting renewed far into the future.
As we mentioned earlier, the series is going to be bringing back some familiar faces and will serve as a sort of crossover event for “American Horror Story: Murder House” and “American Horror Story: Coven”. The show has been slowly weaving an interconnected tapestry since the show debuted back in 2011 and fans are finally starting to see how the individual story-lines come together. Just like previous seasons, you’ll have to dig into the imagery of the new trailer to find your clues.
As for the renewals we mentioned, FX has already renewed American Horror Story for Season 9 and Season 10. Including the upcoming season that is set to debut in September, that means viewers will get at least three more seasons of terror from Mr. Murphy.
American Horror Story is a horror drama series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The Emmy and Golden Globe winning franchise is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television. “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” is scheduled to premiere on September 12th on FX.
