Square Enix is hitting Gamescom 2018 with an impressive lineup of titles and playable demos. The publisher is bringing games like “Kingdom Hearts III,” “Shadow of the Tomb Raider,” “Dragon Quest XI,” and “Just Cause 4” to this year’s big event, with a wide array of giveaways and contests.

The expo is taking place between August 21st through August 25th this year, with the first day reserved for press and other industry vets. Square Enix is reserving up to 1,500 square meters this year, offering playable demos across almost 200 game stations. The new Kingdom Heats game will have with two playable demos, a boss battle against the Rock Titan from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Hercules, and uncovering the Toy Box world from Toy Story alongside Woody and Buzz. Visitors can also take part in picture opportunities, including a giant Keyblade and becoming a real life toy in a replica of Andy’s room from the Disney•Pixar classic Toy Story. Square Enix will also be constructing a Mayan pyramid with numerous game stations for fans of Shadow of the Tomb Raider. A demo of the game will be waiting for anyone that heads over to the booth. Dragon Quest XI will also have an extensive playable demo, showcasing the many content improvements and brand-new voiceover ahead of the game’s release.

If you’re waiting for “Life is Strange 2,” the game will be at Gamescom 2018 as a world premiere. Not only will the development team share new details about the highly anticipated sequel, it will be playable for the first time ever. This year fans will also be treated to an exclusive presentation of “Just Cause 4,” probably one of the most highly-anticipated releases on the schedule. Rico Rodriguez returns with his trademark parachute, wingsuit and, of course his grapple hook, now enhanced with new functionality and fully customisable.

Older games are also getting some love, “Final Fantasy XIV” is coming back to Gamescom wth intense challenges and new prizes. A special promotion for show attendees offers anyone registering at the booth a free copy of the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online STARTER EDITION, while an exclusive programme of stage shows with the makers of the game including Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida and Sound Director Masayoshi Soken will be taking place throughout the week, all culminating in a big cosplay competition on Saturday 25th August. Finally, on Friday 24th August and Saturday 25th August the FINAL FANTASY XIV Eorzean Symphony will have its European premiere at the Konzerthaus Dortmund.
