Netflix has finally set a premiere date for “Marvel’s Iron Fist: Season 2,” the popular Marvel series will be returning to Netflix on September 7, 2018. Netflix teased the video announcement adding, “This isn’t a fight. It’s just a warm-up,” and confirmed the released date for the new episodes.
Fans of the superhero can watch the new video below, which teases Iron Fist using his powers just as we learn the new premiere date. In the series billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones) returns to New York City after being missing for years, trying to reconnect with his past and his family legacy. He fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist. If you didn’t dive into “Iron Fist: Season 1” yet, you still have a few weeks to catch up before the new episodes are released.
Netflix confirmed “Jessica Jones: Season 3” earlier this year. Marvel’s Jessica Jones stars Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, also featured in the show are Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse. The series is executive produced by showrunner Melissa Rosenberg along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
Netflix also has “Daredevil” and “The Punisher” on the back-burner as well. Fans will have to wait to get more information on those series, but so far Netflix has been very quiet about Daredevil. Fans haven’t had a new Daredevil episode since March 2016, which is a pretty long break for Marvel and Netflix. It seems that “Iron Fist” was the big announcement saved for SDCC this year, but there’s still hope that Netflix could drop a Daredevil teaser or two before the end of the week.
