Nick Cannon will be the host of this year’s “Teen Choice” awards alongside content creator, actress and singer Lele Pons. The big event is scheduled to air LIVE from the Forum in Los Angeles, CA, on Sunday, August 12th on FOX. The annual awards show promises to be a star-studded, two-hour event that will celebrate this year’s top teen icons in television, music, film, sports, comedy and digital.
Teen Choice nominees Lucy Hale (Choice Movie Actress: Drama), Hudson Yang (Choice Comedy TV Actor) and dancer Maddie Ziegler (Choice Dancer) are scheduled to appear. Also making appearances are actors Nina Dobrev, Chloe Grace Moretz and Auli’i Cravalho, musical artist Noah Cyrus, U.S. Olympians Red Gerard and Chloe Kim, and social media star Jojo Siwa.
Cannon is the creator and host of the sketch comedy show “Wild ’N Out.” In 2017, Cannon released his comedy special, “Stand Up, Don’t Shoot,” and concluded a cross-country live tour with select “Wild ’N Out” comics and improvisation artists. Cannon also releases new music through his label, Ncredible, and his upcoming full-length album, “Model Music,” via Republic Records is also on the way. Cannon also has Ncredible headphones, in partnership with T-Mobile, and is set to embark on a 25-city “Wild ’N Out” tour with AEG Presents. There’s even a “Wild ’N Out” restaurant in the works, so Cannon has been pretty busy lately.
The nominees for the 2018 Teen Choice awards were announced back in June, you can find the full list of nominees on our site. This year’s front-runner is “Avengers: Infinity War,” leading the film category with seven nominations in total, followed by “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” and “Black Panther” with six nods each. The Disney brand was heavily represented on the list this year, thanks to PIXAR, Star Wars, and Marvel powering through the box-office.
