Paramount Animation released a teaser trailer for the studio’s upcoming animated-comedy “Wonder Park” this week. The film tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive. The film isn’t hitting theaters until March 2019 but you can get an early look at the project thanks to the teaser trailer below.

“Wonder Park” has a great cast behind it, featuring the voices of Jennifer Garner, Matthew Broderick, John Oliver, Mila Kunis, Kenan Thompson, Ken Jeong, Norbert Leo Butz, Brianna Denski and Ken Hudson Campbell. The film is set to release against the thriller “US” from writer/director Jordan Peele, but the two films don’t share the same target demographic.

The official launch date for “Wonder Park” is March 15, 2019. March is already a big month for animated films, as Universal Pictures is set to release “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” with Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, T.J. Miller, Kit Harington, Jonah Hill, and America Ferrera lending their voices to the film.

“Wonder Park” is currently scheduled to hit theaters a week before Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” film with Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ben Mendelsohn. That could hurt the animated-comedy’s follow-up gross domestically but we will have to wait until March to see just how much the Marvel release hurts the film’s second-weekend in theaters. Sometimes these releases do very well, giving children and parents an option at the theater as the older kids and teens run off to see the Marvel installment. Other times the Marvel films aren’t very violent or gory, so parents end up taking the smaller ones to see the Marvel option instead. Disney is also releasing the new “Dumbo” live-action adaptation from Tim Burton in March 2019, through that film is being released towards the end of the month. The new Dumbo adaptation will feature Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, and Michael Keaton.
