Amazon is celebrating July 4th with a new trailer for the “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” series. The new show is coming exclusively to Amazon Prime Video later this summer and will be available to everyone with a Prime membership. This isn’t the first trailer that the company has released for the upcoming series, but it does offer the best look yet at Krasinski in full-on action mode. Krasinski isn’t the first actor to take on the role of Jack Ryan, other stars that have played the role in adaptations include Harrison Ford, Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, and Ben Affleck.

We will forgive the studio for choosing “All Along The Watchtower” as the background track, although at this point so many films and series have used it with shots of helicopters and war-zones that it’s beyond a simple cliché. The trailer shows Ryan as he jumps from the desk to the field, taking on the world’s enemies from behind enemy lines. Prime members can watch the first episode of the series now on Amazon Prime Video add the series to their watch-list for the latest episodes.

In the new series, Jack Ryan is an up-and-coming CIA analyst. It’s not long before he is given a dangerous field assignment, which happens to be his first ever. Amazon teases the story adding, “He uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that has him up against a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale”. Filled with suspicious bank transfers, terrorists, political drama, and a chase through Europe and the Middle East, the series is one of the largest that Amazon has produced to date. Fans of the Jack Ryan series can watch the latest trailer below.

If you want to set a reminder to watch the series when it fully becomes available, Amazon is launching “Jack Ryan” later this summer on August 31st. The show was created by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland, and stars John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce, and Abbie Cornish.
