SYFY is hitting San Diego Comic-Con in full force this year, bringing along a wide-array of fan-favorites and brand-new dramas. While Marvel and DC battle it out on other networks, SYFY is ready to offer a ton of original content and new series. Fans will have plenty to do at SDCC, as SYFY is prepping to launch two huge dramas over the next year.

One of the biggest draws this year will be “Nightflyers,” the new series from George R.R. Martin. The network has released a few teasers in the past, but Martin’s fans are probably very excited to hear from the cast and crew directly. The show will be a psychological thriller, set in the year 2093. The story follows a team of scientists aboard the most advanced ship ever built and as you can imagine, things don’t go according to plan. The network has described the show adding, “Their mission takes them to the edge of space but also to the edge of insanity, as they realize true horror isn’t waiting for them out there — it’s already on their ship.” The cast and creators will host a panel at this year’s event, including Jeff Buhler, Eoin Macken, Gretchen Mol, David Ajala, Jodie Turner-Smith, Gene Klein and David Bartis.

Another new series is “Deadly Class,” based on the graphic novel by Rick Remender and Wes Craig. The show follows the story of Marcus, a teen living on the streets who is recruited into King’s Dominion, an elite private academy where the world’s top crime families send their next generations. The panelists will include Rick Remender, Miles Orion Feldsott, Mick Betancourt, Benjamin Wadsworth, Lana Condor, María Gabriela De Faría, Benedict Wong and Wes Craig.

It wouldn’t be a SYFY event without a little Sharknado and this year the network will promoting “The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time“. SYFY stated that this will be the last installment to the series, but in the horror-thriller genre, that doesn’t mean much. Fans will get to hear from Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo.

As we mentioned earlier, fan favorites are also coming to the event. “Van Helsing” will hit SDCC to give fans a first-look at the upcoming third-season. The show will bring Kelly Overton, Jonathan Scarfe, Vincent Gale, Aleks Paunovic, Rukiya Bernard, Trezzo Mahoro, Neil LaBute, Mike Frislev and Chad Oakes to speak with fans. Attendees of the “Z Nation” panel will be the first to hear details about the show’s fifth-season, and will have a chance to hear from DJ Qualls, Kellita Smith, Russell Hodgkinson and Karl Schaefer. “Krypton is also coming back to SDCC, having just wrapped its first season. The cast and creators will discuss the many surprises of the first season and give an inside look into what fans can expect in Season 2. The panel will include Cameron Cuffe, Shaun Sipos, Wallis Day, Ann Ogbomo, Cameron Welsh and Dan Evans. Don’t forget about “Wyononna Earp,” the show will have exclusive footage and teasers for the show’s third season. Melanie Scrofano, Shamier Anderson, Tim Rozon, Domonique Provost-Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, Varun Saranga, Chantel Riley, Emily Andras and Beau Smith will be on-hand to speak to fans.

Naturally that leaves “The Magicians,” one of SYFY’s biggest series. The show will be teasing the upcoming fourth season and will be bringing John McNamara, Sera Gamble, Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta and Summer Bishil. As an added bonus, the panel will have moderator Felicia Day.
