Square Enix has finally set a release date for “Life is Strange 2,” the long awaited follow-up to the episodic franchise. Fans of the ongoing story will get five new episodes starting on September 27th. “Life is Strange 2” is set to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
The new installment comes from DONTNOD Entertainment, the same development team behind the original critically acclaimed, award-winning narrative adventure. Fans of the story might also want to check out “The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit,” which was first announced at E3 this year. That game is also a narrative experience and the demo links to “Life is Strange 2”. Captain Spirit will be a free release on June 26, 2018 and will release on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. In the story of Captain Spirit, Chris is an ordinary 10-year old boy who wants to be a superhero. Chris loves his toys and has a big imagination that takes him on all sorts of adventures but during your play-through you will experience something entirely new in Chris’ life. The publisher stated that the game offers an “endearing story that will let you experience a slice of young Chris’ life, as he turns an ordinary Saturday into an epic superhero adventure”.
Square Enix also released an announcement trailer for the “Life is Strange” sequel, fans can watch that video below.
The popular publisher had quite a few games at E3 this year, all releasing over the next year. The big release is “Shadow of the Tomb Raider,” where Lara must master a deadly jungle, overcome terrifying tombs, and persevere through her darkest hour in a brand new setting. Lara will be trying to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, furthering her adventures as a tomb raider. Other titles include “Kingdom Hearts III,” “The Quiet Man,” and “Dragon Quest XI”.
