Following in NBC’s footsteps this week, The CW has confirmed the network’s new, six-night schedule set to begin this Fall. The new fall slate will begin with a two-night exclusive telecast of the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival. The network is also bringing back quite a few DC favorites, like “Arrow” and “The Flash,” but will also debut new episodes of YA hits like “Riverdale” and “Supernatural”.

This big change this year is that The CW is moving to a new six-night primetime schedule, a programming change that will begin this October. The network is also scheduling a time-slot switch for “Arrow” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” on Monday Nights. The new premiere dates were announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW Network.

DC fans will want to mark October 9th on their schedule, that’s when the network’s highest-rated series “The Flash” returns at 8pm. “The Flash” will serve as a lead-in for the Season 2 premiere of the DC hit “Black Lightning” at 9pm. The YA drama “Riverdale” will return for Season 3 on October 10th at 8pm, serving as the big lead-in for the new series “All American” at 9pm.

Only one show can rule Thursday nights at The CW and that show is still “Supernatural”. The sci-fi drama is coming back for Season 14 on October 11th at 8pm, serving as the lead-in for encore telecasts of The CW’s new series “All American” on October 11th and the “Charmed” reboot on October 18th. This is before the debut of the new series “Legacies,” set in the world of “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals,” on October 25th at 9pm.

October 12th with be the season debut of “Dynasty,” which is coming back for a second season at 8pm. The show is being paired with the final season of the critically acclaimed series “Crazy Ex-Girlfriends” at 9pm. The CW’s new Sunday primetime line-up features the heroic return of “Supergirl” at 8pm, which will eventually be paired with the new series “Charmed” at 9pm, and premieres October 14.

The CW will be switching time periods for the two Monday series, with “Arrow” now leading off the night premiering October 15th at 8pm and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” moving an hour later, making its season four premiere on October 22nd at 9pm. This is a time period change for both shows from what was previously announced in May.

As we mentioned earlier, the new fall season officially kicks off with the exclusive telecast of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, airing over two nights Sunday, October 7 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT) and Monday, October 8 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT).
