New ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Trailer has Infinity War Teasers

Thanos you crafty villain

Ant-Man and the Waspmarvel

The latest trailer for Marvel’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp” is hoping to spark the same enthusiastic debut that fans gave “Avengers: Infinity War” back in April. The trailer features a few scenes from the latest Avengers installment, even though the Ant-Man sequel is a prequel to those events. Either way, Marvel fans seem to love it when characters from the MCU intersect on-screen, so a mash-up of the two films into one trailer should be a welcomed viewing for a Marvel enthusiast.

It’s a safe bet that Marvel will somehow tie-in the Avengers, and the mighty Thanos, at some point during Ant-Man’s newest adventure. This probably won’t be a large plot-point but we could get a very interesting ending credit scene or two. “Avengers: Infinity War” went on to make over $664M domestically before grossing over $2B worldwide, so it will be very interesting to see how well Ant-Man 2 does this summer.

The previous trailer focused on the shadowy GHOST character that will be played by Hannah John-Kamen. Ghost will be this upcoming film’s antagonist and it will be up to Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly to save the day. Joining Rudd, Lilly, and John-Kamen in the film are Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym, Judy Greer as Maggie Lang, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster/Goliath, and Michael Peña as Luis.

“Ant-Man and the Wasp” probably won’t top “Avengers: Infinity War” on opening weekend, but the film should be aiming to make more than the 2015 original. The first “Ant-Man” made over $180M domestically and over $519M worldwide. Since we last saw “Ant-Man” he has appeared in “Captain America: Civil War,” shrinking and growing as he tried to help his allies. Fans of Ant-Man, or his partner The Wasp, can watch the latest trailer below.
