Bethesda probably wanted “Rage 2” to be a big surprise, but Walmart listed the game a little early and then a teaser-trailer for the game was leaked online before the studio even had a chance to announce it. Bethesda took the leak in stride though and promised fans a gameplay trailer for the shooter, a video that you can watch below.
This marks the first gameplay trailer ever released for “Rage 2,” and just like the first installment, things are messy and very violent. The game seems to have several warring factions mowing each other down in pure mayhem. You can see a sand-covered desert promising a little open-world fun, along with a jungle location and a big mix of monsters and maniacs. Bethesda stopped short of announcing a release date for the game, so far we only have the traditional “2019” window to go by until E3 2018 this summer. The game will most likely get a holiday release (October-December) or take its chances in being one of the larger March releases. Luckily we won’t have to wait that long to get a better window, E3 is just around the corner.
In the game players will play as Walker, one of the last Rangers of the dreaded wastelands. Another trailer, or possibly a staged walkthrough, will most likely hit the scene around E3. Fans of the franchise can watch the trailer below, and get a better look at the environments, baddies, and bruisers that they will be destroying when the game finally releases.
The original “Rage” released back in 2011, and was developed by id Software. “Rage 2” is currently scheduled to hit stores in 2019, and will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
